Did you know…?

Did you know that the Scoliosis Research Society has archives located at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS?

Not only are the SRS Archives located at KUMC, but so are the Harrington Archives and Blount Collection.

What can you find at the SRS Archives?

There are a wide variety of artifacts, documents, photographs, etc. that can be found at the SRS Archives. Some items of particular interest are:

  • The hand-drawn concept logo of the Scoliosis Research Society, created by Paul Harrington, MD.

  • Complete files on the Pedicle Screw Litigation of the 90’s.
  • Original M&M data collection punch cards (aren’t you glad we have a website for this!)

Upcoming additions to the SRS Archives will include papers by Dr. Alf Nachemson, being donated by Dr. Aina Danielsson; original slides of Dr. Dommisse, being donated by Dr. Evalina Burger; and a myriad of slides donated by Dr. John Brown. The latter are currently being reviewed.
