Scoliosis Research Society Announces New Logo
Milwaukee, WI (September 18, 2019) – The Scoliosis Research Society (SRS) is excited to announce the creation of a new logo. Over several months, the SRS Board of Directors and Communications Committee worked hard to identify a new logo for the SRS that represents the SRS mission and vision.
This decision to modernize the look and feel of the logo was undertaken with a deliberate and debated process. After extensive discussion the SRS Board of Directors elected to proceed with the rebranding concept in hopes of bringing a logo to the Society that would be more universally identifiable and representative of the Society’s members and mission. The Board of Directors meticulously discussed each option and found the design below to be most representative of the Society, while providing a modern look that will easily fit into the increasingly digital era. The “globe” speaks to SRS’s worldwide membership and the global impact of SRS’s research and education. The “scoliotic spine” is now a key feature of the logo that demonstrates SRS’s mission of optimizing care for all patients with spinal deformities. The crisp, modern lettering makes a bold, recognizable show of the SRS name.
Use of this logo will be effective immediately, during the 54th SRS Annual Meeting in Montréal, Canada, September 18-21, 2019. The former logo will now become the SRS Seal and will remain in use for special circumstances.
The Scoliosis Research Society is a non-profit, professional organization, made up of physicians and allied health personnel.
