Milwaukee, WI (September 19, 2019) – The Scoliosis Research Society (SRS) has partnered with Lutz Biedermann to offer a new award recognizing innovation in the field of spinal deformity.

The Lutz Biedermann Innovation Award has been designed to support innovative research by a young clinical investigator in the field of spinal deformity. The award will be available to SRS members who are age 45 or younger at the time of the award. Award winners will have demonstrated clinical or translational research promise and will submit a research proposal designed to enhance innovation in spinal deformity treatment.

The winner will be presented the award during the Opening Ceremonies of the SRS Annual Meeting by the current SRS President and a member of the Biedermann family.
