The Annual Meeting will officially begin with the Opening Ceremonies and this year’s Howard Steel Lecture, presented by William Lobkowicz. The evening will include an introduction of the SRS officers. All delegates and registered guests are invited and encourage to attend the Opening Ceremonies. Following the Opening Ceremonies, we will move to a hosted reception featuring heavy hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and plenty of lively conversations and reunions with colleagues and friends.

A limited number of tickets may be available onsite but SRS strongly urges delegates and guests to purchase tickets at the time of registration. Name badges are required. The 51st Annual Meeting & Course will culminate with a cultural experience at the Zofin Palace, located on Slavonic Island in the Vltava River, which runs through Prague’s City Center. Built in the 1835, the original neoclassical brick structure, was named after the mother of Emperor Franz Joseph I, Princess Sophie, Žofie in Czech. Beginning in 1884, the building was restored to the neo-renaissance palace that it is today.

Grand City Tour - best of Prague in 3.5 hours
During this tour you are going to see all of the most interesting historical sights of Prague – the Municipal House, Wenceslas Square, the National Museum, Charles Square followed by a ride along the beautiful riverside, across the River Vltava to Prague Castle. By walk you will return to the city center to the Old Town Square. Here you can admire the Tyn Church, St. Nicholas Church and the Astronomical clock on the Old Town Hall where the tour terminates.

City & Boat Tour
This tour will provide you with an overall coverage of the historical sites in “the city of a hundred spires.“ You will be able to see the most important parts of the city during a coach ride of about 1 hour. This will be followed by a boat trip on the River Vltava. During your boat trip tea/coffee or a soft drink will be provided. The boat ride starts and finishes by Charles Bridge and a walking tour of Charles Bridge ensues. The tour terminates at Charles Bridge.

We offer a combined, comprehensive city tour of Prague. You will see our capital city from many perspectives. We will start our walking tour at the Old Town, which includes a unique Jewish part. Then we can expect a 20 minute minibus tour through the downtown to the Prague Castle, followed by a walking tour and a short break for lunch. The walking tour continues along Nerudova Street, through the Lesser Town to the Charles Bridge, where we can enjoy a short Vltava river cruise on a boat. After the boat cruise we will cross the Charles Bridge and will go back to the Old Town and here, in the largest Hard Rock Cafe in Europe, you will enjoy a free drink to finish the tour. Prague Castle Tour
Our guide will take you by coach to Prague Castle. During this tour of the interiors of the castle you will visit the Royal Palace, St. Vitus Cathedral, St. George‘s Basilica and Golden Lane. Our guide will highlight all important historical details of Prague Castle’s role in Czech history. After the visit you will descend the castle stairs to the Lesser Town and continue walking towards Charles Bridge where the tour terminates.

Folklore Party
Our coach will take you to a typical Czech restaurant for a traditional dinner consisting of an aperitif, coffee and unlimited consumption of beer, wine and soft drinks. After dinner you will be able to enjoy a folklore program with live music and dance. After about three hours you will be taken by coach to Republic Square (Namesti Republiky) in the city center.
